“Schoolhouse Rock” writer Bob Dorough dead at 94
The musician whose songs helped teach children on ABC’s “Schoolhouse Rock” has died. Bob Dorough died of natural causes yesterday at his home in Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania.
The Jazz musician was the musical director for the educational cartoon series between 1973 and 1985. He performed all the multiplication songs, and collaborated on the history, science, and grammar songs.
A funeral is tentatively scheduled for next Monday. Bob Dorough was 94 years old.
