SD Hunger Advocacy Network hosts annual legislative breakfast

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Networking in City Heights involving a network of city and county nonprofits dedicated to hunger relief in San Diego.

Every year the Hunger Advocacy Network, with the help of the San Diego Hunger Coalition, sponsors a breakfast for new and returning legislators and their staff.

Food insecurity is a huge issue in the county, with working and military families having to make difficult choices due to expensive housing .

This year’s keynote speaker was 53rd district Congresswoman Susan Davis, who spoke with us on Good Morning San Diego.

Food insecurity effects some 500,000 people in the county.
