Update: Missing Lakeside man found and reunited with family

LAKESIDE (KUSI) — 5:15 p.m. — A 70-year-old Lakeside man who has dementia, cannot walk very well and who went missing from his care facility Sunday morning has been found safe by El Cajon Police.

Conway Bryan left the Lakeside Special Care Facility in the 11900 block of Woodside Avenue on foot at 9 a.m., according to a statement by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

He was last seen a short time later at the North Marshall trolley station in El Cajon and may have boarded a trolley, the statement said.

The Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit and deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff’s Substation were still looking for the "missing person at risk” when he was found safe more than seven hours after he disappeared.

No details on his whereabouts were released by authorities.

1:00 p.m. — The Sheriff’s Departments wants the public’s help in locating a missing person at risk in the East County.

60-year-old Bryan Conway Jr. walked away from a care facility in Lakeside around 9:00 a.m. Sunday. He suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and cannot walk very well.

The Sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR) Unit, as well as deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff’s Substation, are currently looking for the missing person at risk.

Bryan Conway Jr. stands 6′ tall, weighs around 150 pounds, has brown eyes and salt/pepper hair and beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and tan pants.
