SDG&E outage leaves hundreds of homes without power
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — An outage overnight left hundreds of homes and businesses in Bonita, Chula Vista, National City and San Diego without power Thursday morning.
Electric service is expected to be fully restored by 10 a.m. Thursday. The largest of the outages initially affected about 1,700 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in Rancho Del Rey, Eastlake, Otay Reservoir, Sunnyside, Otay Lake and Otay Mesa, SDG&E reported. Nearly 800 utility customers in the National City and Bonita Vista areas were also temporarily without electrical service.
All but 25 utility customers in Chula Vista neighborhoods had their service restored Thursday morning. Service was expected to be fully restored by 10 a.m., according to SDG&E.
