EL CAJON (KUSI) — A San Diego Gas & Electric employee was still in the hospital Wednesday after the elevated platform he was working on made contact with a power line on Monday.

A GoFundMe account has be setup for Scott Crummy, who was electrocuted by a power line later Monday morning.

"Our brother, Scott Crummy devoted Father, Husband, Son, Lineman, and amazing friend to many was involved in a tragic accident at work. He and his family have a long road to recovery. Any help and donations would be deeply appreciated and a blessing to his family," according to the GoFundMe page.

In a prepared statement, officials with the power company said they were "saddened to report that one of our employees has been injured and transported to the hospital.”

"There is no higher priority than the safety of our employees and community, and we will fully investigate this incident,” the statement says.

Crummy is listed in critical but stable condition at UCSD Burn Center.
