SDPD working to ensure safety during gay pride this weekend
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The attack in France is no doubt on the minds of San Diego Law Enforcement.
Police will be trying to keep hundreds of thousands of people safe at two upcoming, high profile events: The Pride Festival on Friday and Comic-Con next week.
For police, it’s a case of one down and two to go.

The All-Star Game went off without a hitch and hopes are the Pride Festival and Comic-Con will be the same.
San Diego’s Pride Parade is one of the biggest gay pride parades in America.
But this year, San Diego’s Pride Parade will be bigger than ever and that’s because of the Orlando mass shooting.
The Orlando LGBT night club massacre was the worst mass shooting in American history. It has, in many ways, galvanized much of heterosexual America in showing support for the LGBT community, which means in the Hillcrest area, expect a massive police presence.
