SDSU accuses SoccerCity of inaccurate, misleading statements on its stadium site ads

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego State has sent a letter to SoccerCity requesting it put a disclaimer on its website and advertising. The 3 page letter lists four specific statements the University calls “particularly egregious.” First, the University’s plan would require new student fees or taxpayer funds. Second, the University denies it would save money or would be receiving a gift. Third, the University would not pay fair market value for the land. Lastly, SoccerCity provides enough land for expansion. The University can not be involved in SDSU West’s initiative, but says it can point out any inaccuracies or misrepresentations- even if made during a campaign.
