SDSU President Adela de la Torre on SDSU Mission Valley

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego State is getting ready for their biggest project yet!

SDSU has hosted two of three public meetings during the draft Environmental Impact Report comment period. These are meant to provide the public with an overview of the findings of the report and also opportunities to review project information and speak with the technical team. These meetings have all been open to the campus community and members of the public. The next public forum will be held on Tuesday, September 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Valley Marriott.

SDSU hopes to present the final Environmental Impact Report to the California State University Board of Trustees in early 2020. If the proposed project is approved, the purchase of the site and the start of construction would commence soon thereafter.

SDSU President Adela de la Torre stopped by Good Morning San Diego to talk about the public forums and the next steps in the project.
