SDSU student arrested in sexual assault case

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A San Diego State University student was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman during a party near the campus last weekend.

Francisco Paiva Sousa, 20, was taken into custody about 2:15 p.m., university police Capt. Josh Mays said.

The alleged assault at a home in the 5000 block of College Avenue was reported Sunday. The victim identified Sousa as the alleged assailant, according to police.

He was expected to be booked into county jail on suspicion of forcible oral copulation and false imprisonment.
