What’s in a name? Why SDSU West’s title may violate education code

SDSU West is one of two proposals to redevelop the former Charges Stadium land that will go before voters this fall. The proposal’s authors — a private group called Friends of SDSU — hopes the initiative will make way for an expansion of the university and the construction of a new football stadium.

But Councilman Scott Sherman says this initiative might violate the state education code because it uses SDSU’s name in its title. Sherman explains in this interview on Good Morning San Diego.
