Search underway for shooting suspect in Julian
JULIAN (CNS) – A man wounded by gunfire was discovered by a motorist driving through Julian Thursday, San Diego County sheriff's officials said.
The passer-by found the victim in the area of Banner Road and Apple Lane shortly before 9 a.m., and drove him to a nearby fire station, sheriff's Lt. Mike Munsey said.
Medics airlifted the victim, who reportedly had suffered a gunshot to the neck, to a hospital. The wounded man's condition was unavailable in the late morning.
It was unclear when and where the shooting occurred, Munsey said.
