Second Nepal earthquake hits near Mount Everest
NEPAL (KUSI) – TUESDAY 1:30 p.m. – Death toll after second earthquake reaches 65 people.
TUESDAY 2:50 a.m. – Just a little more than two weeks after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the mountainous nation of Nepal, a second tremor struck the country Tuesday morning.
The 7.3-magnitude quake struck near the town of Namche Bazaar in eastern Nepal. So far, officials estimate that at least 37 people have died and over 1,000 have been injured.
San Diego-based nurses and aid workers still remain in the country assisting with helping those affected by the first Nepalese earthquake.
