Several students arrested after massive brawl at Fallbrook High School

FALLBROOK (KUSI) – A student brawl at Fallbrook High School prompted a campus lockdown Friday and left some of the combatants under arrest, authorities reported.

The fracas at the South Stage Coach Lane campus, just off South Mission Road, broke out for unknown reasons shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to sheriff’s officials.

Administrators secured uninvolved students in their classrooms while deputies were en route to break up the fight, which involved “upwards of 20” teens, Sgt. William Munsch said.

After separating and detaining the brawling factions, the patrol personnel took several of the youths into custody. Paramedics evaluated the involved students and staff for complaints of pain and minor injuries.

The arrestees were booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of various charges, including battery and probation violation.

The lockdown was lifted about 12:30 p.m., Munsch said.
