Shades of gray paint red and black festivities for SDSU spring game
This year’s spring game at San Diego State will be a tri-color affair. Red on one side. Black on the other. And nine shades of gray in the middle.
“We only have nine healthy offensive lineman,” Aztecs head coach Rocky Long said. “We are putting them in gray jerseys so they can play on either team and not be a distraction.”
The big battle is at quarterback – Ryan Agnew seems like the natural fit after starting seven games in 2018, but the incumbent isn’t being given the starting spot without earning it first. The next two names on the depth chart – Helix alumnus Carson Baker and Rancho Bernardo alumnus Mark Salazar – will get plenty of playing time.
