Shark spotted off shore of Oceanside Harbor beach

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A shark was spotted off the shore of Oceanside Harbor Beach Monday.

According to lifeguards, the shark was about 400 yards off the shore and was approximately six-feet-long.

Officials searched the area via boat and helicopter at around noon but did not find it.

According to lifeguards, these sightings are rare and the animals usually just pass through the waters.
