Deputies surround Mt. Helix home where shots were fired

San Diego Sheriff's deputies are responding to a report of shots fired inside a home in unincorporated La Mesa on the 9900 block of Grandview Drive.

The incident was initially reported as a domestic disturbance.

Authorities are reporting that everyone from the home is safe, except for the suspect who is still inside, reportedly shooting a weapon.

Deputies were in the process of setting up a perimeter.

Neighbors called into the KUSI Newsroom saying they heard at times over 25 shots ring out at once.
