Silver Pigskin Finalist: Troy Warner, Mission Hills

Mission Hills’ CB/WR Troy Warner is ranked as a 4 star recruit according to ESPN, Scout.com, and Rivals.  He was offered by 34 schools including the University of Arizona, UCLA, Notre Dame, and the University of Oregon.  He has committed to BYU where he will be playing with his older brother Fred Warner, a Silver Pigskin Finalist in 2013.

Through playing 7 games this season, Warner has racked up 366 yards on 19 pass receptions and 2 touchdowns.  On defense he has 4 interceptions on the season with 1 being returned for a touchdown.  Warner is the best Corner on the undefeated Mission Hills team as he is always matched up against the opponents’ best receiver.

When asked about who Warner is as a player, Head Coach Chris Hauser said, “Troy is a very versatile player for us. He has big play capability on both sides of the ball.  He’s a quiet leader for us, he leads by his effort in practice.  He truly loves the game of football.”
