Sir Paul rocks Petco Park

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Eight years past 64, former Beatle Paul McCartney is still going strong, and brought his concert tour to Petco Park Sunday night for his first public appearance in San Diego in 38 years.

A jam-packed crowd watched as McCartney and his band played for nearly three hours.

Sir Paul — who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth — last played locally in 1976 at what was then known as the San Diego Sports Arena. He played a private show in Rancho Santa Fe in 2003.
