Sisters Pizza SD listens to customers, cancels plans to require vaccination for indoor dining

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Sisters Pizza SD originally intended to require vaccine verification for all customers who wanted to dine indoors but they retracted their statement after feedback from the community and their customers.

The co-owner, Emily Lake, explained they “came to the realization that the policy didn’t really align with their values of being inclusive to everybody.”

Sisters Pizza got the support from the San Diego Rise Up group, which is a group of active citizens looking to bring profound change within our community – for future generations.

One of the leaders of San Diego Rise Up, Melissa Grace, joined KUSI’s Dan Plante at Sisters Pizza, explaining that they are not supporters of cancel culture, and want to support Sisters Pizza SD for correcting their mistake, and standing up for freedom of choice.

KUSI’s Dan Plante has all the details.
