Skyline gunman kills two
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Police were on the lookout Monday for a gunman who shot and killed two men in the Skyline neighborhood and wounded a third, authorities said.
The three victims, all in their early 20s, were standing in the area of Siena Street and Skyline Drive around 9:30 p.m. Sunday when a man in dark clothing approached and opened fire, said San Diego police Lt. Mike Hastings.
One man died at the scene and the other in a hospital, Hastings said. Their names were withheld pending family notification.
The wounded man was treated at a hospital and later released, Hastings said.
Hastings said detectives and forensic specialists were working to locate witnesses and process the scene for evidence.
Police urged anyone with information on the shooting to call the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
