Slight warm-up in Friday’s forecast as weekend storm closes in

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – It will be mostly sunny and a few degrees warmer throughout San Diego County Friday ahead of a cold front expected to bring gusty wind and up to a third of an inch of rain to Southern California late tomorrow afternoon.

Today’s highs will be:

Around 65 degrees at the beaches

  • 67 to 72 inland
  • 68 to 73 the valleys
  • 60 to 68 in the mountains
  • 63 to 68 in the deserts

Overnight temperatures have continued to be below freezing and it is recommended that crops and vegetation are covered up to avoid freezing.
