Small brush fire breaks out in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA (KUSI) – An embankment in Chula Vista was the site of a brush fire that broke out early Tuesday morning.

The fire started off of Interstate 5 near E Street around 6.am., and CHP quickly issued a SigAlert. As a result, traffic was slowed significantly.

It was not immediately known what caused the fire. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
