North County four-year-old child remains hospitalized after fall from two-story window
VISTA (KUSI) — 8/7/2017 — Four-year-old Isaiah Ornelas, who fell from a second-story window of a Vista apartment a week ago, continued to recover in the hospital Monday.
According to the GoFundMe page set up by his family, the toddler is still listed in critical condition, but the bleeding has stopped in his brain.
"All I ask from everyone is please pray! I know he is strong, but I know God is stronger. Please, everyone, have faith with me & Isaiah and believe in your hearts he will be okay. Thank you for all the support and prayers. You have no idea how much your prayers mean to Isaiah and me!" wrote his family on the GoFundMe page.
Isaiah’s breathing tube was removed last week and he was able to respond to commands.
The incident happened in the 900 block of Postal Way in Vista when Isaiah was climbing on a couch next to the window just before he fell.
8/1/2017 — A preschooler gravely injured in a two-story fall at his family’s North County home remained hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday.
Four-year-old Isaiah Ornelas tumbled out a window at the residence in the 900 block of Postal Way in Vista shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The boy was climbing on a couch next to the window just before he fell, his mother, Trinity Coles, told reporters
The boy remained in an intensive-care unit at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego Tuesday afternoon, hospital spokesman Carlos Delgado said.
Coles released a statement to "thank the community for their support and prayers during this difficult time.”
"All I ask for is to spread the word and get as many prayers for little Isaiah as you can,” she said.
7/31/2017 — A four-year-old child fell from the second story window of a Vista apartment on Monday, according to a Rady Children’s Hospital representative.
Deputies and paramedics were dispatched about 6:40 p.m. to the 900 block of Postal Way, said San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Christine Robbins.
The 30-pound child is reported in critical condition and was airlifted to Rady Children’s hospital following the fall. The mother was given a ride to the hospital by a Sheriff deputy.
It has not been disclosed what caused the fall.
