Snowball fight at The Vatican!

This is something you won’t see everyday. It’s a snowball fight in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.

A storm during the overnight hours on February 26th brought at least two inches to Rome, the city’s biggest reported snowfall since 2012. It was enough snow to bring the city to a halt, temporarily closing schools and public transportation.

Rome’s Mediterranean climate usually results in very mild, even warm, winters. But for now, residents and visitors can’t help but have fun in the snow. Can you blame them?
