Sound Up Full: Eastlake Head Coach Lee Price

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – This week sound up full caught up with Eastlake head coach Lee Price to talk about a long list of things. Price isn’t only leading the way on the sidelines he’s also leading the way in the classroom, youth football and even on the stage with a little bit of acting. After taking over for longtime head coach  john McFadden price is finding the stresses of the job are many but well worth it come Friday night.

One of the things we talked about is the restriction of summer camps and contact days in practice. He thinks the coaches should be able to decide how often you hit during the week he said “the limiting of contact and allowing coaches to determine when and were… coaches don’t want their kids to get hurt, were not just going to be going after it four days a week that would be a pretty stupid coach and I don’t know anyone who has ever done that”.

After sitting down with coach price and hearing his schedule it’s amazing he has time to talk. After a full day of teaching physics and P.E. Classes he then heads to football practice for the Titian but he’s not done after that, he heads over to coach his sons team. I asked how he does it and he credits his wife “she’s very very understanding”. Now what you may not know about lee price the man is that the acting bug along with the coaching bug bit him. Last year he was in the musical 9 to 5 at the onstage playhouse in Chula vista, I asked him should I look for him in the next big time blockbuster he replied “I don’t think so”.

During this interview is seemed like time flew by talking to coach price, he was a wonderful interview I hope you enjoy this edition of sound up full.
