South Bay Game of the Week: Eastlake 40, Olympian 20

The week 10 South Bay Game of the week features Eastlake making a trip to Olympian. For the Eagles this promises to be a tough contest as Eastlake is rated number eight in the county. Olympian ends up on the losing end of this game where the final score is 40-20 Eastlake.

Star Eastlake running back Isaiah Strayhorn gets the Titans on the board in the first few minutes of the game with one of his trademark runs. But Olympian quickly ties it up with a nice run by sophomore Noah Lacsima. By the end of the first half it’s 27-7 Titans with Traylon Reed scoring twice on two nice runs.

In spite of Strayhorn’s incredible yardage numbers this year, the Titans prove once again what running back depth they have. In addition to Reed, Eastlake also has two formidable running backs in Greg Bell and Dean Klaser who also scored touchdowns.

Eastlake’s leading tackler, Ronnie Sallee, conducts a clinic in courage after his knee pops out of its socket. A nurse pops it back in andCoach Lee Price said Sallee begged to be put back in the game where he made eight tackles…a real story of inspiration!
