Southcrest fire destroys home and displaces nine people
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A fire in Southcrest Thursday afternoon left nine people without a home.
The first started just before 4 p.m. in the 4100 block of Gamma Street.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department took about 20 minutes to put out the fire.
The American Red Cross was called in to place the residents of the home, six adults and three children, in interim shelter.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
