Spencer Day at Martinis Above the Fourth in San Diego

The incredibly talented #1 Billboard chart-topping Pop/Jazz singer/songwriter returns to Martinis Above Fourth with his new show Música Sin Fronteras this week. This one-night-only performance will feature guest performers from north and south of the border in a benefit concert to provide relief to those affected by our current crisis at the border. Day will be premiering new original compositions as well as recent Billboard charting songs from his latest release, Angel City, and donating a portion of his profits from the show to the non-profit organization Border Angels.

Born in Utah, raised in rural Arizona, and currently living in New York City — Spencer Day has wandered amid the expansive and diverse landscape of American music, developing an artistic sensibility that borrows from numerous sources: jazz, musical theater, cabaret, soul, folk, traditional and contemporary pop. He uses intuition and improvisation as his primary tools to craft a sound that is familiar, yet fresh and innovative at the same time. Day’s album Vagabond peaked at #11 on the Billboard Album Chart and stayed on the chart for 47 weeks. The lead single, “Til You Come To Me,” peaked at #3. His recent album, Daybreak, debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart.
