‘Spider Man’ robs Tierrasanta convenience store
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – San Diego police were on the lookout Monday for a man
who wore a Spider-Man mask while robbing a Tierrasanta convenience store at
gunpoint.
The robbery of the Circle K store at 10496 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. was
reported at 11:13 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer David
Stafford.
No one was hurt and the gunman fled with cash, he said in a statement.
Police described the gunman as black and of medium height and build. He
was last seen wearing a Spider-Man mask, white shirt and gray sweatpants,
Stafford said.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on May 24, a stocky 5-foot-8 black man wearing
a Spider-Man mask robbed the USA Gas Station in the 7900 block of University
Avenue at gunpoint, according to La Mesa police. Police did not immediately say
whether the two robberies are thought to be connected.
