Spring semester to begin this week at Southwestern College
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The spring semester begins January 29th at Southwestern College and it is not too late to register for classes.
Governing Board President Nora Vargas joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss what students can expect at the community college.
The college will be breaking ground next month on a new public safety training center at their Otay Mesa campus. It will include a live fire building on a college campus. There will also be a building for police, fire and paramedic students to practice real-world scenarios.
They are also are designing a University Center to be built on their Chula Vista campus and are soliciting four-year universities to offer bachelor’s, masters and doctorate programs in the new center.
