St. Augustine 62, Scripps 37

As expected this game was an absolute thriller! The St. Augustine Saints (4-5) beat the Scripps Ranch Falcons (3-6) by a score of 62-37.

On the first play of the game, Darrell Broussard returned the kickoff for an amazing 90-yard TD putting the Saints up 7-0. The Falcons quickly responded through Joshua Fish tying the game up at 7.

Elijah Preston then ran the ball for 41 yards for a Saints TD. Thomas Goodridge then picked up a QB keeper TD for another Saints TD.

At the start of the 2nd quarter Elijah Preston got a 7-yard TD, his second on the night. The Falcons answered, as Zach Podraza put his team on the board with a QB keeper TD.

After the half, the Saints didn’t allow the Falcons back into the game by picking up another TD through E. Preston who ran a whopping 67 yards into the end zone.

The scoring continued as the Falcons got on the board through Eric Brown, with a 22 yard reception. Suddenly, the Falcons were back in it with another TD; Joshua Fish with an 8-yard reception TD after a blocked punt.

In the 4th quarter, Elijah Preston put the nail in the coffin after a massive 83 yard run. Daniel Broussard picked up one final TD to put the icing on the cake, burying the Falcons 62-37.
