Storm front approaches San Diego County, light showers expected over weekend
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Sunny temperatures were expected across San Diego county Thursday and early Friday before the tail end of a frontal boundary moving towards Northern California brings light showers over the weekend.
A ridge of high pressure and a weak offshore flow brought warm temperatures to San Diego Thursday. San Diegans saw mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s.
On Friday, the county will be hit with some showers around 6 p.m. as a very strong storm growing in Northern California narrowly crosses San Diego’s path. But the storm is expected to pass quickly Friday bringing mostly dry weather with cloudy skies Saturday and Sunday.
The grunt of the storm will hit Northern California and Los Angeles with heavy snow and rain.
