Stormy weather is on the way in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – March showers are on the way in San Diego, with rain expected to fall over the weekend. The Pacific coast prepares for more El Nino driven storms, with a high surf advisory in effect through Tuesday. Rain is on the agenda through Monday, but conditions clear up Tuesday before another potentially wet weekend. Rainfall should begin around 6 A.M. Sunday morning.

Expect cloudy weather in the A.M. through the weekend. February was a very dry month, with just 5/100th’s of an inch of rain recorded at Lindbergh Field. The West coast will be dealing with the wet weather from San Diego all the way up to Seattle, with snow in the colder regions further north.

Be prepared for windy conditions as well, with winds around 17 MPH zipping through the air Sunday and Monday. A.M. showers will start the work week, bogging down the commute for San Diegans.
