Student slashed with knife on UCSD campus
UCSD – San Diego and campus police are looking for a man who stabbed a student.
Campus police say the victim was leaving the library just after seven o'clock tonight when a man came up to him and slashed his collarbone.
The student's wound is not believed to be life-threatening. His name has not been released.
The suspect is described as a man in his fifties, about 5'5'' with a thin build and a white bushy beard.
Witnesses say he was wearing camouflage clothing and carrying a backpack, and he may be homeless. He was last in the area of Center Hall.
