Students Making a Difference on “Better World Day”

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Conway Elementary School celebrated its second annual “Better World Day” with activities from all grade levels that are designed to better the community.

Student-led projects included singing to seniors, distributed kindness door hangers, and a neighborhood clean-up.

As an EL Education school, Conway students follow an expedition path for their grade level throughout the school year. All expeditions have a service component. “It’s one small way of helping our children to develop the ability and characteristics it takes to make the world better and to be productive citizens,” says Conway teacher Therese Ellsworth.
