Sunny San Diego weather expected for Fourth of July

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Temperatures are expected to be moderately warm for this Fourth of July before a warm up after the holiday.

Morning fog was minimal Tuesday morning, meaning plenty of sunshine is going to reach San Diego County during the day. Temperatures will warm without the cover of the marine layer.

The marine layer will gradually become shallower as the week progresses, allowing for an increase in temperatures.

Temperatures are expected Tuesday to be 5 degrees above average for this time of year and are expected to increase further by the end of the week.
