Supervisor Fletcher discusses his proposal to switch from polling locations to voting centers

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego County Board of Supervisors is considering a proposal that would provide more options to the way we vote.

The proposed changes would do away with polling location and switch to all-purpose “vote centers” for the 2020 election.

County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher claims that under the “vote center” system, the county’s registered voters would receive a mail ballot and could then drop it off or mail it to a vote center or cast a new ballot at the vote center itself. He says the system would eliminate the need for provisional ballots.

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors will consider the proposal at its July 9th meeting.

Supervisor Fletcher told us all about it in studio on the KUSI News.
