Supervisor Gaspar works to help catering industry
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The catering industry has been silently hit by the pandemic. While most relief measures and creative outdoor strategies continue to focus on brick and mortar restaurants, the catering industry is struggling with all group gatherings, wedding receptions, and business travel put on hold.
As we chart an uncertain course to reopen San Diego, County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar is calling on our community to come forward and assist in protecting small business sectors hit hard that have experienced, or are facing, layoffs, bankruptcies and facility foreclosures.
Supervisor Gaspar joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss a creative idea to keep the catering industry solvent during this challenging time while offering a unique dining opportunity for the community.
