Supporting foster youth at Promises2Kids this holiday season
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – From the moment they come into foster care and through to adulthood, Promises2Kids provides hope, support and opportunities for kids to change their lives for the better now and for years to come.
This holiday season, you can support foster youth in San Diego County through Promises2Kids.
Tonya Torosian, CEO of Promises2Kids, and Ikemba Dyke, Guardian Scholar at Promises2Kids who entered foster care at age 9, was in studio talk about how you can get involved.
Ways to support foster youth this holiday season:
- Make a cash gift – cash gifts can be made online to support foster youth year-round at Promises2Kids.org or checks can be mailed directly to the Promises2Kids office (9400 Ruffin Court, Suite A, San Diego CA 92123)
- Sign up as a Volunteer – there are many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, which include: Camp Connect events, shopping events, fundraising events, etc.
- Become a Mentor – each foster youth in our Guardian Scholars program is carefully matched with a mentor who is there to help guide and support them as they pursue their personal and professional goals.
