Surveillance video released to help identify suspects in death of a man near Horton Plaza
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Surveillance video was made public Tuesday in bid to identify three people sought in the death of a 29-year-old man after a brawl near Horton Plaza.
Eric Galen Hatcher was attacked by a man wearing a gray jacket as he was walking along Fourth Avenue near G Street about 2 a.m. on Dec. 14, according to San Diego police and Crime Stoppers. He was knocked out and fell to the ground.
Medics took Hatcher to a hospital, where he died, authorities said.
Police recovered surveillance video that showed the assailant running off with a man and a woman.
Police described the attacker as white or Hispanic, 25-30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches and about 165 pounds. He was wearing a gray and black hooded blazer, a dark T-shirt, dark pants and white shoes.
The other man, also described as white or Hispanic with short dark hair, was about the same height but heavier, about 180-190 pounds, police said. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, a puffy vest, dark pants and dark shoes.
The woman was described as white, 21-26 years old, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches and 115-125 pounds. She was wearing a long red dress, dress shoes and a light-colored, knee-length jacket.
