Suspect arrested after abducting and robbing two La Jolla women
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A man suspected of abducting two women in La Jolla and forcing them to drive him to ATMs to withdraw money was jailed Thursday, police said.
San Diego police detectives arrested Keith Russell Lucket, 24, at a home in the Riverside County city of Moreno Valley this morning, SDPD Lt. Chris McGrath said.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on May 4, Lucket allegedly pulled a gun on two women as they were getting into a car in the 7700 block of Draper Avenue and forced them to drive to several automated teller machines, withdraw cash and give it to him.
Lucket then allegedly demanded to be driven back to where he’d abducted them. There, he got out of the vehicle and ran.
He was booked into county jail on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping and carjacking.
Police did not disclose how much money Lucket allegedly stole from the women, though McGrath called the amount “significant.”
