Suspect wearing a ‘Scream’ mask attacks man

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A man was assaulted with a golf club in Kelly Street Park Saturday.

At around 2 p.m., the victim, 31, was attacked by a man who reportedly wore a mask similar to the one used in the horror film franchise "Scream," said Sgt. Ray Battrick.

Battrick said the victim was hit at least twice with a golf club. He suffered non-life threatening wounds to the front and back of his head.  

Battrick said a witness described the suspect as a possibly light-skinned man in his 40s, who wore a white shirt and black pants.
