Suspended fraternity raises money for house chef’s wedding

Southern Methodist University’s Pi Kappa Alpha was recently suspended by the school for four and half years following a violation of the school’s code of conduct regarding hazing. Details about the incident can be found here.

As a result, Pike House cook Fred has lost his job. RJ Putegnat, a San Diegan, was a member of the fraternity and has organized a GoFundMe page for Fred’s upcoming wedding on May 18th.

They have raised over $4,000 in less than 24 hours. Their initial goal was set for $2,500.
