SWAT team dispatched to East County apartment complex
LA PRESA (CNS) – A suspect in a domestic dispute holed up in an East County apartment Friday, prompting a SWAT standoff that ended with his arrest more than four hours later.
Deputies went to the neighborhood in the 9200 block of Amys Street in La Presa about 9 a.m. to question the man. When they were unable to contact the suspect, they called out special weapons and tactics personnel, sheriff’s Lt. Jim Walker said.
The stalemate continued until mid-afternoon, when the man was taken into custody. His name and details of the charges he was expected to face were not immediately available.
