Sweetwater UHSD plans to release up to 87 administrators

NATIONAL CITY (KUSI) – The Sweetwater Union High School Board is planning to make some major cutbacks.

Saturday, they voted unanimously to release up to 87 administrators from their positions, which will include many of the district’s assistant principals.

School district officials say the job cuts will help ease its budget shortfalls but the vote does not mean all 87 employees will lose their jobs.

The district will be able to re-assign employees to different administrative positions or to non-administrative jobs.
