Sydney Seau gets on stage interview at Junior Seau’s induction ceremony
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego Chargers legendary linebacker Junior Seau's daughter, Sydney Seau, will be allowed an interviewed on stage at her father's Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
This follows a highly debated announcement that she would not be allowed to give a speech on her fathers behalf. The controversy ensued because many people thought she was silenced from speaking about her father's death because the former San Diego Charger's brain developed a degenerative brain disease linked to multiple concussions. Widely considered the reason for his suicide.
Sydney still won't be allowed to give a speech, but instead a compromise was reached in which she will be interviewed on stage about her father when his bronze bust is unveiled at his enshrinement.
The ceremony takes place Aug. 8.
