Tasha Williamson on her campaign for San Diego Mayor

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Tasha Williamson, American activist and community leader, stopped by the KUSI Studio to discuss her campaign for San Diego Mayor.

Williamson considers those who feel left out of the decision-making processes the cornerstone of her philosophy as a community activist in San Diego.

Williamson has experience advocating for families who were affected by gun, gang, and police violence, and for protesting police brutality towards of people of color in the San Diego area.

Tasha Williamson says she made the decision to run for Mayor of San Diego after realizing there was no one running who represented the city’s under-served residents, working-class individuals/families, students/teachers. Williamson states there wasn’t a candidate willing to stand up for all the people who face barriers to opportunities.
