ESCONDIDO (KUSI) – A packed house at tonight’s Escondido Union School District’s meeting with many passionate teachers out in full force asking for fair pay and a new contract. They have been working without a contract for a while and now they are coming together to change that.

Teachers from around 17 elementary schools and five middle schools attended, wearing bright red for their cause and holding signs demanding action.

The District’s Superintendent gave a statement saying, “the negotiations have been cordial and positive, and we are confident that we are making progress, we are listening and we are working toward a fair resolution.”
