‘Team Made in San Diego’ Challenged Athletes Foundation bike ride

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Bonded together by their strong San Diego roots and a passion for the transformational power of sport, Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Former Chief of Police Shelley Zimmerman and Bob “Sully” Sullivan – “Team Made in San Diego” – have dedicated their year of cycling to help change the game for more people with physical disabilities.

The three are working to change the game for people with physical disabilities. They are set to participate in a 760 mile bike ride down the coast of California to raise money for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. They hope to raise $125/mile in honor of CAF’s 25th Through their Team goal of $92,500 in fundraising dollars, individuals in the local San Diego community and around the world will gain access to life changing adaptive sports equipment, training, competition expenses and mentorship needed to find fulfillment through sports and physical activities.
