Tecolote Creek Cleanup with Councilmember Lorie Zapf

TECOLOTE CANYON (KUSI) – On Saturday morning, San Diegans got a chance to meet San Diego City Councilmember Lorie Zapf while helping beautify Tecolote Canyon Natural Park and Nature Center.

Dani Ruberti was live at the park, where she spoke to Councilmember Zapf and Becca Kuntz from I Love A Clean San Diego to talk about the cleanup.

The cleanup is a great opportunity for students and families to meet Councilmember Zapf, as well as learn ways to protect our local environment. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable items such as water bottles, work gloves, and buckets to promote zero waste practices. All volunteers are required to fill out a waiver form to participate and anyone under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.
